What is the right age for my child to start gymnastics?

Gymnastics can start as early as 18 months with parent-and-tot classes! Most clubs offer beginner classes for preschoolers (3-4 years old), but it’s never too late to start. Kids of all ages can benefit from the strength, flexibility, and confidence gymnastics builds. Our club welcomes children 4+ at this time.

Does my child need experience to join a gymnastics club?

Not at all! Many kids start with no experience. At Infinity Gymnastics Club we offer recreational classes for complete beginners all the way to advanced competitive programs.

What should my child wear to gymnastics class?

Having the correct attire is an important rule for safety.

  • Girls: Must have their hair tied away from the face, tight and secure. No jewelry is allowed. They should wear a one-piece Gymnastics Leotard; Gymnastics shorts are optional. (Please avoid skirts. frills, strings, or zipper shorts as they are not appropriate and pose a hazard for gymnasts and coaches.
  • Boys: Must wear a Gymnastics Boys Leotard, or a t-shirt and shorts. The T-shirt must be tucked inside stretch shorts or pants. No jeans allowed.

Is gymnastics safe for kids?

Yes! Safety is our top priority. At Infinity Gymnastics Club, we use professional equipment, trained coaches, and proper spotting techniques and progressions to keep athletes safe while they learn new skills.

How do I know which class is right for my child?

We usually recommend scheduling for a consultation with an office representative so that we can help your child find the class that’s right for them, based on age, experience, and ability.

Can my child compete in gymnastics?

Absolutely! Most clubs offer both recreational and competitive team programs. If your child shows interest and readiness, we can guide them into the competitive track.

How often should my child attend gymnastics classes?

It depends on their level and goals. Beginners typically attend 1-2 times per week, while our competitive team members may train several days a week.

What are the benefits of gymnastics beyond the sport?

Gymnastics builds strength, flexibility, coordination, discipline, confidence, and teamwork. These are life skills your child will carry into school, sports, and beyond!

Can boys join gymnastics?

Definitely! Gymnastics is for everyone. Boys can enjoy our classes focused on strength, tumbling, and traditional men’s gymnastics events like rings, high bar, and parallel bars. However, at this time, we don’t train boys competitive teams.
